I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
